Sergei Shevtsov joined the Stuarts Legal team as a financial advisor in the Industrial Construction Practice. Sergei has many years of experience in transaction structuring and fundraising (including in the West) for major EPC projects in the oil & gas and energy sectors as well as in mineral resources management.

Sergei worked for 15 years as a CFO of large EPC companies both in Russia and Canada.

Sergei Shevtsov

Sergei’s role in the team is to advise clients on fundraising for the construction of EPC facilities as well as other industrial facilities, including advice on:

  • the most efficient types of financing;
  • preparation of financial models, investment memoranda, and business plans;
  • liaison with export credit agencies (HERMES, COFACE, SACHE, etc.);
  • analysis of financial risks for projects;
  • bringing a client’s management accounting to the level required by banks for an application to be processed successfully and for the credit committee to issue a positive decision.

Education:

In 1996, graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia, Department of Robotic Complexes.

In 2000, graduated from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in International Business at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), USA.

Since 2005, has been a member of the College of Chartered Professional Accountants, Toronto, Canada. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
