Stuarts Legal lawyers supported GEA Grasso Refrigeration during the construction of a poultry meat processing factory in Bryansk. We were surprised by the high speed of resolving emerging issues, and the team’s efficiency and professionalism. Separately, I would like to point out Elena Stuart’s work and her ability to defend the client’s interests and commercial interests during negotiations.
Elena Stuart and her team provide highly qualified services for infrastructure and PPP projects in the most stressful business conditions within clearly set deadlines. Their speed of response to a problem and reliability in work are highly appreciated.
Elena Stuart, Managing Partner, and her company, Stuarts Legal, always provide highly qualified legal services for our EPC business. The speed with which services are delivered is particularly noteworthy. All deadlines are always respected without compromising the quality of work.
A very client-oriented company that stands up for the client’s interests as its own. I would also like to point out that Elena perfectly builds personal relationships with the client company and the client company’s counterparties, which certainly helps in solving work issues.
Always a reasonable price/quality ratio of services. The scope of services covers not only Russian legal matters, but also English law issues and many international aspects. Elena does not just act as an advisor, but always strives to understand the commercial essence of the issue, which is the key to a quality product.
Professionalism, speed of work and focus on results are pleasantly surprising. Ready to work in the client’s schedule.
Proactive approach in negotiations and willingness to defend the client’s interests. Good technical background in EPC issues.
In such a complex projects as PPP the success depends largely on the quality of the lawyers work. It is always difficult to make a choice in favor of a small law firm and in disfavour of the well-known and expensive consulting company or ILF. However, I have chosen Stuart’s Legal since they have a perfect background in support of PPP and EPC projects, as well as in a variety of projects in the construction of industrial and infrastructure facilities. And I did not regret. Colleagues from Stuart’s Legal are true professionals who are responsible for the quality of their work despite their age and do not ask for a millions just for the brand. By the way, I think age is also a huge advantage — their energy, sense of purpose, a lively interest in the projects, certainly compares favorably with the most of the major consultants with whom I had the occasion to work. Not every lawyer as complete as Elena is able to feel confident in any stressful situation; to quickly analyze risks and to find the ways to minimize them; to understand not only the legal but also the financial and technological aspects of the project. Elena brought us an effective help in the preparation of sophisticated deal almost straight off the reel. I would like to wish the Stuart’s Legal and Elena personally prosperity, success and a large number of successful projects!
In March 2019, our company needed the services of a law firm with construction experience to review a general contract and prepare tender documents and support for the general contract tender to construct a soft cheese plant within Belebeyevsky Dairy Plant.
We contacted several companies (both Russian and foreign) but opted for Stuarts Legal.
We realised very quickly that we made the right choice.
Stuarts Legal’s lawyers are noted for their world-class professionalism, deep knowledge of the construction industry and related legal aspects. The process of working with them was very clear, all information was given to us in full and on time.
Separately, I would like to point out the head of the company — Elena Stuart — for her adherence to principles, customer focus, skill, and charm.
We are sure we will continue to work with Stuarts Legal in the future.
I worked with Elena Stuart on the negotiation of Major Contracts on the Vystosk LNG Plant between November 2015 and March 2016.
I was working on behalf of OMZ/Daelim JV (seconded from WorleyParsons through Gazprom the Parent Company of OMZ) in the Capacity of Contracts Engineer alongside Elena who was working as Legal Council on the negotiation and finalisation of the following Contracts,
LNG Treatment Plant with Air Liquide France,
LNG Storage Tanks with TGE Germany.
During this period Elena and I worked closely to get these major contracts in place attending meetings and clearing Contract Clarifications and ensuring Daelim did not exceed their authority during the negotiations.
We also collaborated in the drafting of the final Contract Agreements.
During this time, I found Elena diligent, hardworking and knowledgeable on all aspects of the Contract, in addition she is good negotiator with excellent English Language skills.
In addition, Elena is a team player willing to participate and offer solutions in team-based discussions and accept team decisions.
Elena’s manner is polite and never overbearing, she is willing to listen to the opinions of others and she did not react during discussions with the Contractors even when these got adversarial, preferring to note their position and discuss calmly after these meetings.
I can recommend Elena in a similar role and personally would be more than happy to work with her again in a team environment.
Cryogas-Vysotsk, as the client of the LNG terminal project in the port of Vysotsk, worked with Stuarts Legal on this deal, but on the opposite side.
During our two and a half years working together, we watched Elena Stuart and her team doing a lot for the project general contractor, from both legal and commercial point of view, sharing and sometimes also successfully performing the project management function. The most business-oriented lawyers I’ve ever met.
Well done, in a nutshell, but still, you don’t have to take the client’s problems so personally. Distance yourself.)
